The novel was inspired by a real-life incident during my time as a police officer, where I encountered a driver with numerous felony warrants for sex offenses involving minors and the possession of an eight-year-old child obtained through illegal means. This deeply troubling experience served as the catalyst for the story.

While the novel draws inspiration from a real incident, it is a work of fiction. I've taken creative liberties to craft a compelling narrative, develop characters, and explore deeper themes.

I drew on my personal experiences as a police officer and conducted additional research to ensure accuracy in portraying law enforcement procedures and the psychological impact of such incidents on officers. My experience as a police officer provided me with a unique perspective on crime, justice, and the challenges faced by law enforcement. It allowed me to infuse authenticity and realism into the novel, creating a compelling backdrop for the story.
